@Dr_DeanS That is utterly appalling. I am a (lupus and APS) patient. You are right to strike. You are valued by the patients, if not the government, but being valued by patients doesn't pay the bills. There needs to be a huge culture shift. Good luck.

@vickimoses I understand this frustration and sorry this has happened to you. But these delays are there with out the strikes, as seen with the 2.5 year wait. The strikes are not the cause. The chronic underfunding is.

- telling people during COVID they had a 50% chance of waking up after we intubated them - working 12 hours in full PPE, not eating, drinking or weeing. - harming my health with shift work - trying desperately to provide the best care as conditions just get worse and worse

- managing heart attacks, blood clots and haemorrhages - being there for people as they take their last breath - telling their family and loved ones their relative has died - breaking bad news - facilitating people's last talks with family over facetime

"BUT you're in training" My job role during my first two years: - responding to cardiac arrests - Solo GP clinics - taking referrals for burns, wounds and hand injuries. Managing them on my own. - reviewing major life threatening burns - solo ward rounds of 30 patients
