🇨🇦Indian men are flying into Canada from US that have severe heart conditions to get free surgeries and skip the lines. This is from a nurse that works with a surgeon. Here is how it works: They already have a severe diagnosed condition but they have no insurance. So they jump on a plane to Canada. When they land they go to hospital emergency and complain about it. Because of the severity they are fast tracked for a surgery and skip the line. Surgery is completely and they fly home. In US a private surgery for heart can be 150k US. A nurse that works with a surgeon in Calgary said she has seen 7 cases in the last couple of years but she said that’s just her. She said the systems are not set up properly to confirm they will actually get paid and after the surgeries they don’t get paid. Apprently even the surgeon will not be paid for the surgery if the medical system is not paid for the procedure but someone might have to confirm this? As for the Indian man reference she said all of the cases she has seen have been Indian men. Can anyone confirm this type of scam is going on at Canadian hospitals?

How many people out there don't have a family doctor? I don't. But all the newcomers I work with have managed to secure one. So, is preference being given to immigrants? Are medical facilities getting a stipend from the Feds to take newcomers? #cdnpolitics

Why do we need 10,000 more parents and grandparents of immigrants, people who never paid one dollar of taxes here but will each need tens of thousands of dollars worth of healthcare in the coming years?!? At a time when our healthcare system can’t even treat Canadians? This is an insane policy. The PPC has for years advocated abolishing this program. You want to be close to your parents and grandparents? Go back to your country!
