Nobody can give a good reason as to why SGA is the MVP besides “SGA’s team is better.”

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's case is stronger right now, but if Luka Dončić and the Lakers wind up in the mid-50s, and he keeps playing like he has the last few weeks, it could get interesting.

@DickCarlisle Luka is having an incredible season is undoubtedly first team all nba but there is no tangible argument for him being MVP. Shai and Wemby have stronger cases.

@DickCarlisle On ball scoring isn’t close either. Shai is scoring more ppp on ISO’s and on PnR ball handler reps. He’s been better in the clutch, leads the NBA in clutch scoring. If you want moments he hit 5 GW/Go ahead shots in a row vs GS/NY/Den/Bos

@JEngelsBall @OMagicTalk @PaolosAttorney Individual drtg is a flawed stat and is a bad metric to tell best in the league. That should mean something from me cause Chet leads the NBA in that stat. Mobley to me doesn’t have a better argument because he isn’t the rim protector Chet is. Mobley is more mobile/better feet

The Lakers have turned a real corner. They're really competing to make the most of what they have on defense. Smart hitting shots and Ayton hustling are big swing improvements. Luka's been on fire from 3.
I've been calling them mediocre all year. They're legitimately good now.

@FlukaMagic @Arkham_Fatman The Luka defensive issue isn’t a lack of ability or skill it’s just effort. 90% of the time he stands still off the ball, but when he’s engaged he has good tools. Good hands and good size and good defensive playmaking

@casualtweeter02 He's still underrated. The majority of NBA can't get past box scores. Our team is haliburton its not a 1a 1b its comfortably Hali as our best player. He's a genuine top 10 guy and my optimistic belief is at his true peak hes an mvp.
