Palestinians in Gaza need nutritious food. Their immunity systems are low and deficiencies are increasing. And sadly, The Sameer Project donations plummeted and all we can provide is rice meals now. Please help here: chuffed.org/project/help-u… A famine intentionally designed in Gaza is imposed by the military occupation. Families like this need nutritious meals for their sick son and the food is available but not affordable. Less than 20% of needed trucks are allowed in and most of the trucks are commercial. Junk food is allowed in in large quantities while vegetables and meat are allowed in in small quantities. One kilo of meat is around $18 so if we want to cook a few thousand meals, The Sameer Project would need hundreds of thousands of dollars a month. And the reality is we are making less than 50% of what we used to before the “ceasefire.” On June 10th, the Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project team gave out 495 meals of rice and vegetables to Quds Camp in Tal Al Hawa, Gaza City. 80 families got a meal for the day thanks to your support and the total cost was $820, including the 11% commission.
