I love Python but i would never use it for data analysis. The UI (including command syntax) of Stata is superior. UI is important, especially for new users. Which is why we’re building a Stata-like data package in Julia: codedthinking.github.io/Kezdi.jl/stabl…

Great advice! I do disagree with finding no use case for e.g. Stata: Stata still vastly outperforms Python & Julia for most regression-based analysis.

@BHarrap much quicker on the M1 etc chips in my limited experience. @MattCowgill forcibly had to switch from Mac to Windows recently so might have a better idea

I made this map in R using cowplot, basically manually positioning everything (the insets and the lines). Is there any package out there that has automated this a bit? This took HOURS to get right (and I could honestly spend longer).
