What could a visual illustration of #AFL injury lists🩹look like? Of the 161 current injured players (19.9%), injuries most commonly occur in the thighs (hamstring and quad), ankles, knees and brains.

All listed AFL players can be plotted, with their models scaled by height, to view entire team lists and their reported injuries.

This can be broken down by teams, with the dummy receiving a team coloured beanie.

Venues vary in sample size for uninterrupted kick-in➡️goal chains.

The lowest chain was by North Melbourne in 2022, who went from kick-in to goal in two kicks🦵🦵⛳

Without blanks and vowels, the pattern is less clear. The letter 'S' occurs most frequently in over 54% of cells, especially around the edges of the crossword.

There is an interesting trend in the layout of cell blanks. These blanks frequently form a # crosshatch. With one of these occurring in at least half of all crosswords. The most frequent non-blank cell is 'S' in the top-right corner, occurring in 27.3% of crosswords.

Unsurprisingly, vowels dominate the most common #NYT crossword square answers. The exception being that all corners of the grid are most commonly the letter 'S'. #rstats #crossword
