Virtual store in bun install closes the npm/yarn compatibility gap that historically gated adoption. I had a monorepo with 47 packages that wouldn't resolve correctly on Bun 1.2 but works on 1.3 now. HTTP/3 in Bun.serve() positions Bun as the first major runtime with native QUIC server support; Node still ships HTTP/2 only. node:worker_threads parity finally closes the multi-thread story. Replaced ts-node with Bun 3 months ago. Cold start 200ms → 20ms, big enough to notice on every test run.
