Curious if young people today listen to full albums. I feel lucky to have had the Linkin Park, Tool, 3 Days Grace, Eminem, Dre, Perfect Circle, Lifehouse, and many more in my younger days. They told a story through the album. Does this exist now?

@JunesIphone I feel there are more artists today that are performers who sing songs written for them, rather than those who write their own material. I realize many artists sing songs written by others no matter the age. There used to be more songs that were stories or based on their lives.

@JunesIphone I guess that was kind of off subject regarding your question. I do listen to albums all the way through still. Maybe it goes back to the days of cassettes, when that was the easiest way to listen.

@caboderoca My initial thought was the distribution. In my time we bought cassettes and cds. Today it’s a streaming service with everything.

@JunesIphone I remember when DAT’s and MiniDisc tried to be a thing. I still have my AIWA Walkman from the 90’s. Streaming is cool, but I miss the old stuff a lot.
