Every @shadcn UI kit for Figma I found on Figma Community was of poor quality, missing components or outdated. 😡 My client's deadline loomed, and I needed a solution fast... That's when inspiration struck. With my seven years of experience creating Figma resources and managing the Ant Design System, why not make the kit myself? 🤔 I dove in, pouring my expertise into every component. Days blended as I crafted, refined, and perfected. 🥵 Finally, I sat back and smiled. Before me was the high-quality, up-to-date Shadcn UI kit I'd been searching for, complete with customer support. 🤩 As I prepared to share it with the world, I felt a surge of excitement. This wasn't just a solution to my problem – it was a resource that could help thousands of other designers and developers. It’s not a dream. I made it.

@codeize @bdlowery @shadcn That's right. And it's missing new components and charts and figma features. These resources require a lot of work and maintenance. I know it because I worked on Ant Design System for Figma for 5 years delivering new updates frequently.

@matsugfx @bdlowery @shadcn It's great you decided to sell this, it's much needed. Do you have any intentions of maybe partnering up with shadcn and having this as the 'official' Figma resource? I guess in such a case it would need to be free like the current.

I'm open to talk with shadcn about this. Maintaining, updating, improving and releasing new stuff for it is a lot of work and that's why I decided to make it a paid resource. That's what I do with Ant Design System for Figma too. The Free resources on figma community are often outdated because it requires a lot of time to manage them and when creators have client work to do the free side projects are often abandoned.
