Japanese YouTuber "Loli Nabe" Accused of Brokering Child Sex in Laos Is Running a Bar in Bangkok A Japanese YouTuber who allegedly published guides on purchasing sex with minors in Laos and brokered access to underage girls for Japanese clients is living openly in Bangkok, running a crowdfunded bar under his real name. Naoya Ohata, who goes by "Loli Nabe" online, ran a YouTube channel and social media accounts where he posted about nightlife, sex tourism, and, according to a viral thread by a Japanese anti-pedophile account, information about child trafficking in Laos. That thread, posted in Thai, hit 1.8 million views in February. On his own Instagram (naodee.nabechan), Ohata posted a photo from inside a Swensen's, a family ice cream chain, captioned "full of young girls, the unspoiled vibe is the best," tagged with sex industry hashtags including Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, and Walking Street. Today, Thai outlet Bright TV ran a segment identifying him as a suspected child trafficking facilitator and calling on Thai police to act. Japanese journalist Risako Tai investigated his business ties and found that companies listed as clients on his website, including Shueisha and the J-League, denied any relationship. Japan's Football Association confirmed a subcontracted deal through his company NAODEE that ended in 2019. Ohata's companies did not respond to inquiries. No arrest has been reported. He fits a broader pattern of Japanese nationals exploiting minors in Laos. Two men were arrested in August 2025 for filming minors there. Another was arrested in January 2026 for running a child prostitution blog. The Japanese Embassy in Laos issued a formal warning in June 2025.
