@cr3ghost @domchell @MDSecLabs @nighthawk_c2 Modern browsers typically also have it enabled. Chrome/edge has it enabled on all processes (rather than say just the renderer). So that’s one of the main advantages imo.

CET has been shipping since Tiger Lake in 2020 and cetcompat binaries have been in Windows for years. Why is every C2 developer suddenly treating it as urgent now? Did Microsoft quietly push cetcompat onto enough injection targets in a recent update that non-CET-aware implants just started crashing in the field?

I've been pretty quiet recently, mainly because we've been cooking up a few things at @MDSecLabs - some of which will be revealed over the next month or so. One of the most exciting things is a HUGE new @nighthawk_c2 release. It's packed with "stacks" of new OpSec - incl. 3 new CET compat masking.
