@ChrisMartzWX The school district I work for had a full day and even though some parents pulled their children out early all it amounted to was some local downpours and a couple rumbles of thunder. The high winds should be here around midnight or so they say.

Today’s severe weather bust was the biggest I have seen in a while. Lots of hype, school, and flight cancellations (including my flight). I had some suspension that it wouldn’t amount to much, which is partly why I didn’t post anything about it. That being said, this is the best case scenario. Nobody should be upset about it because lives and property were spared.

This is my LAST CALL snowfall map!! ☃️ I think there will be a solid 16"+ band of snow from the NJ Coast and eastern LI to RI / SE MA. I raised NYC up to 12-16" from 8-12". Philly is on the edge of 4-8" and 8-12"; it could go either way. I expect blizzard conditions from Cape May to Boston; winds will be gusting to 50+ mph. I am not buying the crazy snowfall amounts others are mapping out for much of central / eastern PA. There will likely be a very tight cutoff near Philly with most of the state getting 2-4", while the inverted trough feature produces an isolated 3-6" in the yellow circle I outlined below. The D.C. metro gets only 2-4" (at best) with less the further west and south you go. Sorry to the snow lovers there, this just ain't your storm.

@CynicalPublius I have no issue with the auto stop feature on my 2004 Ford F-150 but there are a lot of issues with the start feature. 🤣

Unpopular opinion for a Conservative... I have a Ram 1500 Rebel with autostop. The engine has a mild hybrid component that picks up at the autostop, making it completely seamless with no lag. I kind of like it.
