As a former spook I can tell you that the easiest low-integrity career path for former spies and intel goons is to become a "tell-all" writer that affirms every conspiracy theory as true.
This works commercially because people lap it up and it enables you to lean on your old career and esoteric "secret" knowledge, like a gnostic priest.
This works legally because none of its true, so none of it is actually classified, making it completely legal.
Nobody can prove that you're making stuff up, so your claims never get fully disproven; at best, you'll get "debunked" by Snopes or NYT, which nobody takes seriously anymore.
It is a pure grift career but one I've seen become lucrative multiple times.
Keep this in mind when you're dealing with politicians from the Influencer-Politician Era of the 2020s.

Mainstream gaming press was complaining about the objectification of women in video games back when I was reading Game Informer in the 2000s. Millennial Youtubers often did the same thing at the time. The big target was DOA Beach Volleyball.

Odd that of the two most recent major space RPG series both had no intelligent aliens and neither thought to do the obvious thing of cutting out the middle man and making the conflicts between actual human ethnicities and not thinly veiled alien simulacra as is often the case.

@Taro_of_Agartha I would still rather just have the old games ported and maybe (MANUALLY) ipdcaled to modern resolutions. I don’t want to get into the soylennial “are le video games le art” debate but think of it like how old paintings are revarnished and not repainted.

@thatmechaguy The main draw of consoles has always been the simplicity and form factor. Consoles still have the latter (though not unchallenged anymore) and they gutted the former for a few reasons, trying to compete with PC was one but a lot of it was just fucking over consumers(cont.)
