Hexy and I know it. Thanks @BWargamero for nudging me into experimenting with H3 hexes. Fun stuff! With some AI magic, the rendering performance in MapLibre is quite good.

@22sec2 @BWargamero Soon. I want feature parity with the existing scenario editor, but I have to take it one step at a time. I run experiments like the H3 grid to learn more about the technologies before I fully implement them.

@GCWargaming I did a map of Ivankiv, Ukraine for AB1. Trying to find time to polish it up and upload to AB2’s Workshop.

Playing a generated mission in the Ardennes with the “Special Military Operation” mod, by a creator whose name I wish I could pronounce. It's good; the visuals were awesome. I imagine using the April Fools (FPV mode) along with this mod and an Eastern European map, which could add another layer to this increasingly kick ass combat simulator.   #ArmoredBrigadeII #WarGames #MatrixGames

@22sec2 @BWargamero If you right click on the map you can change the base layer. If you have any ideas how it can be adapted to support wargaming let me know. I'm not a wargamer, so I don't see all the possibilities.

@orbatmapper @BWargamero It’s EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for! I’d even started looking at my own project to do a hex on a globe using Godot. There are a ton of wargaming possibilities your software opens up! Like my head is kind of spinning contemplating. Can we change map type yet on the globe?

@22sec2 @BWargamero The globe mode is still in an early experimental state, but now I know a hex grid is feasible with decent performance.

@wwatkins4 @CFBChuckk Fair question. I would consider anything that helped to define some of the eligibility questions that left in its current state will continue to go before a myriad of courts. It’s not healthy for the long term good of college athletics, and as a by product colleges themselves.

@22sec2 @CFBChuckk What other “moving pieces” are having a negative impact that need federal legislation to fix? The portal? Let kids transfer if they want, it’s their decision. None of this should be a concern of the federal government.

College athletes don’t need to be limited to 1 transfer and 1 transfer only…. Just make whatever contract they sign 100% enforceable. 1, 2, 3, 4 year deal. Whatever it is when they put pen to paper.

@Floxxyi9 @Nobody1978_1 @LokiJulianus You know you were doing fine with your first two points, but I find the last quite bitter to swallow. Regardless of anyone’s education, upbringing, etc., they have just as much right to share their opinion as any of living being. Just saying. Everyone gets a voice.

@Nobody1978_1 @22sec2 @LokiJulianus 1. There’s no argument. A conversation is being had, have you heard of that? 2. people travel internationally, have you heard of that too? when you travel, your location is updated. 3. You’re very likely a simpleton with no college degree, posting from your mother’s house.

@wwatkins4 @CFBChuckk Lastly I would hope the people we elect to serve us could handle multiple challenges at once. If not they need to move on and let people who can take their place.

@22sec2 @CFBChuckk So the problem they are trying to fix is college athletes making too much money? Who’s being negatively impacted by this? How is this a bigger issue than the deficit, poverty, education, inflation, etc?

@Klipklapper @NiohBerg I’m not sure present day Europe actually has those three things. I know the power doesn’t exist, the quantity of equipment is woefully low, thus no power, and I’m not sure what evidence you could point to back up the know how claim.

@NiohBerg Europeans are stuck in a war right now in Ukraine. Europe has the power, the equipment and the knowhow to stop the war. But the just keep it going. Supplying just enough that the fronts barely move. Letting millions of ukranians and russians die.

@wwatkins4 @CFBChuckk Because it’s important! It affects tens of thousands of lives. It’s precisely what governments are meant to deal with. Holy shit 🤦🏻‍♂️

@CFBChuckk But nothing concerning transfer rules, also, why is the government spending any time on this, how is this in any way in the top 10,000 this that are actually important

@Floxxyi9 @LokiJulianus t’s also a cultural thing, to Western militaries lives matter. It stands in stark contrast to the nature of war, which actually then makes sense why men and woman would risk it all to save their fellow combatant. It’s a good and honorable ethos in a messy venture.

@22sec2 @LokiJulianus oh okay, I stand corrected then. I just always doubt the motivations behind events undertaken by/in the US, because the leaders lie all the time and about everything. Pilots may have been prioritized because of the amount of operational & technical intel they possess.

@Floxxyi9 @LokiJulianus Like most things in life, there is multiple reasons why something is. The part you mentioned or the investment made in pilots acquiring that skill set are certainly a piece of the equation.

@Floxxyi9 @LokiJulianus Mam there is so much wrong with your statement. The US military began placing a priority on recovering downed pilots during Vietnam. Any pilot ever downed and behind enemy lines since Vietnam has seen a similar action.

@LokiJulianus Hm. As a matter of fact, thousands of American fighter pilots have been lost and nothing was done. This case appears to me as involving highly important material being at risk of being lost. Either the men were themselves the material, or they had the material with them.

@BWargamero 🧐I have many questions… 1. What’s the engine? Been looking at Godot to do something like this. 2. How big are the hexes?
