Newsom failed to timely file reports for 36 behested payments totaling $5,534,253 (mostly in 2024–early 2025). These donations were made at his request by major companies (including Apple, PayPal, Paramount Studios, and DoorDash) and went primarily to the California Fire Foundation (a nonprofit supporting firefighters and fire victims), with a small amount to another group. Most funds supported recovery from the January 2025 Los Angeles wildfires (Eaton and Palisades fires).

My dog Max had a heart attack and died about an hour ago, my son died in November and they were the best of mates, in a daft way I would like to think they are together again. Rest in peace the both of you.
