Point I raised on recent @3YardsPerCarry, if you’re going after OL nowadays, you kind of have to do it early. NFL has collectively gotten very good at sorting OL draft classes and finding those future high impact starters in the first 2 rounds, particularly at OT. Obviously Miami could go for that as high as 11, with looks at Francis Mauigoa, Spencer Fano, Vega Ioane, perhaps even a dark horse pick with Kadyn Proctor. They could also look toward a Blake Miller (one of my favorites) or Max Iheanachor at 30, or switch gears to the interior with Emmanuel Pregnon, Chase Bisontis, or Keylan Rutledge. They could also just wait it out at 43 and hope one of those guys makes it there. But if they don’t go for an OL at 11, 30, or 43, things start to get a lot more grim in a hurry. I like Jude Bowry of Boston College as someone they could look at in R3. Recruited by Jeff Hafley, coached by Matt Applebaum, long arms, good feet, highly athletic, well coached, very smooth operator who can make a difficult job look easy. For R3, I also really like Brian Parker of Duke as a 5-position player who showed up to Shrine practices moving from T to C and looked like fish in water. He’s a very Green Bay type of OL. I’ve mentioned Aamil Wagner before. He’s a Day 3 that I like a lot. There’s also something to be said for Pat Coogan, Jager Burton, and Micah Morris. But back to the main point, I think chances are if the Dolphins want to make an impact selection at OL, they probably have to do it before that 75th overall pick. The NFL has been figuring these guys out for the most part, and the Day 3 values like Zach Tom, Warren McClendon, etc…are getting fewer and further between.
