1AM musings: There are 3 stages in parent-child power/control dynamics. 1 - Autocracy - You have zero input in the decisions made for you. The food you eat, the clothes you wear, and even the associations you make are all determined for you.

I'm angry. You can call me names but I don't give an eff. If you are supporting Tinubu, you are evil and it's God that will p*nish you. In this my setting, I've heard a patient brought in dead to me after jumping into the well because of depression. People are struggling to pay for essential healthcare services like basic injections, CS and oxygen. I've had babies die in my arms because parents didn't come quick to the hospital because of funds. Everyone is groaning under this insane hardship. Many homes are broken. Many peoples futures have been jeopardized. Thousands of businesses have folded up. Thousands have dropped out of school. Even doctors are dying anyhow. We can't even afford the healthcare we offer. Many of us treat our families off the books to cut cost. There's unimaginable hardship in the land. The country is not safe. You can't travel far without informing half your family incase you get kidnapped m The road is bad and people die of road traffic accident everyday. Kidnapping is now a booming nationwide industry. Yet our useless leaders are splurging on luxury like no tomorrow. The president is a frog faced evil baron that doesn't care. Flying around and spending billions on frivolity. Then some bastards are still trying to push this evil party down our throat. Brainless people.

The problem with Peter Obi’s supporters is that they think they love Nigeria the most, they believe supporting a Non-corrupt, compassionate, successful, morally upright, frugal, agile and efficient candidate makes them the only ones that have Nigeria’s best interest at heart.

Here's how Muslim-majority countries treat their Christian populations: 🇸🇴 SOMALIA No churches exist. Converts from Islam face death. Al-Shabaab is committed to eradicating Christianity entirely. 🇾🇪 YEMEN Christians can be imprisoned, tortured, or killed. Possessing a Bible in Houthi-controlled areas is dangerous. No legal protection for Christians exists. 🇸🇩 SUDAN Over 100 churches have been damaged or destroyed. Christians have been abducted and killed. Islamist extremists operate with impunity. 🇸🇾 SYRIA Now largely controlled by HTS — an Islamic extremist group with roots in Al-Qaeda. Christian population has collapsed from 1.5 million to 300,000. 🇳🇬 NIGERIA More Christians are killed for their faith in Nigeria than anywhere else in the world. Boko Haram, ISWAP, and Fulani militias operate freely. The government has largely failed to prosecute perpetrators. 🇵🇰 PAKISTAN 🔸 Christians are 1.8% of the population but absorb ~25% of blasphemy accusations — which carry a death sentence. 🔸 Mob lynchings of accused Christians are common. Entire Christian neighborhoods have been torched. 🔸 Christian girls are kidnapped, forcibly converted, and married off. Courts often back the perpetrators. 🇱🇾 LIBYA No functioning government to protect Christians. Foreign Christians are kidnapped and killed by Islamist groups. No legal protections exist. 🇮🇷 IRAN 🔸 96 Christians sentenced to 263 years in prison in 2024 alone — a sixfold increase year-over-year. 🔸 House churches are raided. Converts are charged with espionage and "enmity against God." 🔸 Apostasy is punishable by death. Government's stated goal: eradicate the Persian-speaking Church. 🇦🇫 AFGHANISTAN Christians face death if discovered. No public Christian communities exist. The Taliban is actively working to erase any Christian presence. 🇸🇦 SAUDI ARABIA 🔸 No churches allowed. No public Christian worship of any kind. 🔸 Apostasy and proselytizing are capital offenses under Sharia law. 🔸 Bibles are confiscated. Even private worship by expatriates can result in arrest and deportation. 🇲🇱 MALI / 🇧🇫 BURKINA FASO Pastors executed, churches burned, villages massacred. Governments have lost control of large swaths of territory to jihadist groups including Boko Haram and JNIM. 🇮🇶 IRAQ The Christian population has collapsed from 1.2 million in 2011 to just 120,000 in 2024 — driven by ISIS genocide. Christians are described as "close to extinction." 🇩🇿 ALGERIA All 47 Protestant evangelical churches in the country have been shut down. Converting Muslims is a criminal offense. 🇲🇷 MAURITANIA Apostasy is punishable by death. No churches exist for Mauritanian citizens. 🇲🇦 MOROCCO No public Christian worship permitted. Converting from Islam can result in prosecution. Foreign missionaries are expelled. 🇶🇦 QATAR 🔸 Apostasy: death penalty under Sharia law. 🔸 Proselytizing a Muslim: up to 5 years in prison. 🔸 Bringing Christian materials into the country: up to 2 years in prison. 🇹🇷 TURKEY 🔸 200+ Christian workers expelled since 2020, labeled "national security threats." 🔸 No legal training of clergy permitted. The historic Halki Seminary remains closed. 🔸 Christian population has collapsed from 20% to 0.2% over the past century.

The people in charge don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus. Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity. Today's Morning Note newsletter covers Masoud Pezeshkian's condemnation of Trump's “desecration of Jesus,” the Iran War's gutting effects on America's housing market, Colombia's plan to murder Pablo Escobar's hippopotami, and more. Let me say this clearly, especially to those still living in Nigeria: If this government retains power until 2031, they will unleash the harshest and most brutal regime in our history. Whether you supported them or not, nobody will be spared. Many of their loud online supporters will lose their jobs after the election and become irrelevant once their usefulness is over. Most opposition leaders will be jailed, youth activists who worked against them will be locked up, suicide rates will rise, frustration will explode, and the economy will become far worse than it is today. The only way to avoid this coming crisis is simple: make sure this administration does not return to power in 2027. Vote them out. Make it a personal choice, as if your life depends on it. We can do it. You can do it. If they were not scared of losing, they wouldn’t be intimidating the opposition so desperately. Take this warning seriously, especially if you live in Nigeria. Those who live in Nigeria will feel the pain. Those abroad have nothing to fear except for a few of their siblings or parents. Retweet for those who need to hear this truth ✊

Terrorists conduct ground assault while the NAF conducts air strikes. I want to believe no one thinks this was yet another mistake.

🇳🇬 JUST IN: Up to 200 Feared Dead After Nigerian Air Force Airstrike Hits Busy Market on Borno–Yobe Border As many as 200 people are feared dead, with dozens injured, after a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) airstrike mistakenly struck a crowded weekly market on Saturday. The incident occurred at Jilli Market, a key trading hub located between Gubio Local Government Area and Geidam Local Government Area, where traders from surrounding communities had gathered in large numbers. According to eyewitnesses and local officials, fighter jets operating under Operation Hadin Kai launched the strike targeting suspected Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province elements believed to be active in the area. However, the bombs missed their intended targets and hit the civilian market instead. Multiple explosions tore through the crowded trading ground, sending traders and buyers fleeing in panic. Eyewitnesses described widespread devastation, with bodies scattered across the scene and many victims buried under debris. Victims were rushed to the Specialist Hospital Geidam, where at least 14 injured persons are currently receiving treatment. Several others have reportedly been referred to Damaturu due to the severity of their injuries. While initial eyewitness counts confirmed at least 56 bodies, local sources now warn that the true death toll could be significantly higher, with some estimates placing it at up to 200 fatalities as recovery efforts continue. As of Sunday afternoon, the Nigerian Air Force and Defence Headquarters have yet to issue an official statement addressing the incident or confirming civilian casualties. The Borno–Yobe border remains a volatile frontline in Nigeria’s ongoing counter-insurgency campaign, where civilian populations continue to face deadly risks as terrorists operate within and around local communities. This is a developing story. Casualty figures are expected to be updated as more information emerges.

Prof is absolutely spot on in this video. The prosperity gospel madness in a terribly poor country like Nigeria is a scam that impoverishes vulnerable people and enriches a few charlatans in the pulpit.
