@theyeezymafia As part of the deal, adidas must formally apologize to the Ye community and admit they overreacted. They must also submit to anger management and re-education on free speech, and attend Ye's Sunday Service for 2 months.

@MatthewJWelty As long as no one is being scammed. Supreme LV Jordan 11s for $30 is a steal if you're into that kind of thing.

@multosakalye @HYPEBEAST His team or adidas' team? And Steven Smith?
instagram.com/stevensmith/?h…
If adidas designers designed them then maybe ok. But if not, not so ok. Selling the same shoes under a different name would still be super sketch.
English

@3peatla @HYPEBEAST It wasn’t Ye who put pen on paper firsthand. It was his design team that drew up ideas that he conceptualized. He described himself as a Steve Jobs maestro-ing the project. Basically, none of his skill set was hands-on with the creation of the shoe, so to speak.
English

@multosakalye @HYPEBEAST "Adidas looks to be the one who’s doing the manufacturing and the designing, and that’s why they’re the ones on all the design patents.”
Like, who drew the sketches of the shoes. That's what we need to know.
English

@3peatla @HYPEBEAST The shoes were created by Nic Galway, Adidas’ vice president of global design.

@multosakalye @HYPEBEAST If Ye is claiming creative and artistic ownership for someone else's work, then ok. But if it was Ye's leadership and name, then Yeezy is the product of Ye's voice. Changing just the name is impersonation, and profiting without paying the artist is theft.
