Told buyer agent if they want to use my lender since I can tell their loan officer was a rookie. The lender has ignored a couple of my calls. Terrible customer service, but has been partying on social media. Seller is packed and on his way out of state. Today, the lender tells me the buyer can’t obtain financing. They will lose their $ 15k deposit.

Wow. Perfectly stated. I built a biotech company here after fleeing the NYS income tax. This new WA tax WILL impact me as I make about $5M a year. But I’m too busy to fight or lobby. So I’ll just spend six months at my house in FL and avoid it. Have to avoid death tax anyway.

Looks like my plan to move my company to FL in response to the WA millionaire tax created a small but focused following. Naturally I don’t want to do this if there is any chance of a successful legal challenge. Even the libs seem to anticipate this. Any news on this is welcome.

Since 1/1/25 about one-third of my evictions were for single family home properties Half of those properties were sold after the eviction concluded. Almost all of the clients swore to never lease to another tenant again

The WA income tax is now law! Whether it stands or falls will be entirely up to the Washington State Supreme Court. YOU can decide who sits on that Supreme Court in the November election. The LEGAL case on its merit is a slam dunk. You can expect @robmckenna to make an excellent argument. Case law and the State constitution, and common sense, all clearly say this law is unconstitutional. But, as we saw with the capital gains income tax being decided as an "excise" tax (when it clearly is an income tax), it all depends upon whom voters choose to elect to the Washington State Supreme Court. Did you know that neither judge that has been appointed to the Supreme Court by @GovBobFerguson has any experience as a judge at all? But they do have donation history to either his campaign, or they've worked directly for him when he was AG. It sounds too corrupt to be true, but it's true.
