@CapitalCity613 @DevineSean @NSaravanamuttoo Wellington is wide enough that I think it’s totally possible to do a tram and an adjacent public space. Tunnel will cost $500M+ and make extensions a non-starter due to cost and complexity with the canal.

A great piece by @NSaravanamuttoo. While I'm not a downtown councillor, I see the city-wide value in developing a downtown that everyone wants to go to, residents & tourists alike. Turning Wellington St into public space with a tramway connecting Ottawa-Gatineau would be amazing.
