Remember all that talk of matchroom getting involved in RL? This is a shrewd move. I've never, despite trying, been able to take to union but the game has changed massively in my eyes. It's faster, more entertaining and Pollock/Northampton ate at the forefront of this.

Poor/lack of recruitment to build on 2024 and some strange decisions on players haven't helped either.

I'd neither expect nor want to see a public rant from Peet in response to that shambles, but the fact is there's been too many "wake up calls", "kicks up the backside", "not good enoughs" and promises of "responses" for this to be a "bad day at the office."

@Birchall_87 This is probably the biggest disappointment, given this is Deacon's main job. Expected much more for this season after a limp 2025.

No one can argue Saints fully deserved that win. Some poor decision making from players like Keighran who should know better, but Matt Peet's team selection and use of subs was utterly bizarre today
