@jdmiles11 These kid's were clearly coached and you can see their story start to fall apart. They're all using the word "provoked" this kid said he knew KA, greeted him, and dapped him up, but then says Austin was mad someone no one knew was under the tent????
PROSECUTION CALLS WITNESS - MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRACK ATHLETE
KNEW KARMELO ANTHONY AND AUSTIN METCALF
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “What did you notice in the tent?
Witness: “Karmelo was there. I dabbed him up.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Did you talk?”
Witness: “Just said hi.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Did you think it was weird he was in the tent?”
Witness: “Yes, because teams are supposed to be at their own tent.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “You call him mellow?”
Witness: “Yes.
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “After you stop talking to him, did you see any other teammates talk to him?”
Witness: “Yeah, Austin said, ‘Who are you?’”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “What did you see?”
Witness: “Karmelo gets mad he’s told to get mad he’s told to get out of the tent.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Once he gets mad, what happens?”
Witness: “He says, ‘You’re not going to move me. You’re a b*tch.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Was Austin starting to get mad?”
Witness: “He was getting defensive someone we didn’t know was in the tent. He’s always leading. He’s always protecting us.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “After that?”
Witness: “Karmelo said you’ll have to move me. Austin put his hand on his back. I saw Karmelo’s hand go in the backpack. We’re at a track meet. I wouldn't expect anything to be in there. Karmelo said, ‘Touch me. You’ll have to move me, and find out,’ trying to provoke him.’”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Then what happens?”
Witness: “Austin puts his hand on him and falls back.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “How was Austin trying to move him?”
Witness: “It was him trying to move him off his seat. A soft shove.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “What did Austin do?”
Witness: “I see the hole in his chest and blood. He starts screaming for help.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “When this is going on, who’s standing?”
Witness: “Before the stab, Austin was the one standing.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Did any kids from Memorial try to gang up on Karmelo?”
Witness: “No.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “You’re expecting at most a fist fight?”
Witness: “Yes.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “You didn’t think anything was going to happen?”
Witness: “No.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “After Austin falls, where does Hunter go?”
Witness: “Hunter went to help him get up, and that’s when Austin pulled up his shirt and started screaming.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “You thought the stab was a shove?”
Witness: “Yes.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “What did you see?”
Witness: “I saw our coach take off his sweatshirt. Austin fell down and looked unconscious.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “After the stabbing, where did Karmelo go?”
Witness: “I saw him run up the bleachers.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “The coach heard you saying, ‘That was my brother. That was my brother,” about Austin.”
Witness: “Yes, sir.”

@jdmiles11 I’m confused. Did he or did he not know Karmelo? Starts out with saying he called Karmelo “Mellow” which was his nickname only to later say they were confused because there was someone in the tent “they” implying him, “didn’t know.”
ANOTHER WITNESS TAKES THE STAND – 16-YEAR-OLD BOY WHO WAS A FRESHMAN AT THE TIME OF THE STABBING.
HE PLAYS FOOTBALL AND TRACK.
He helped set up the tent.
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Did you see anyone who didn’t belong in the tent?”
Witness “He was from Centennial High School. We told him to leave multiple times.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Is the expectation that other teams stay out of your tent?”
Witness “Yes.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “When you tell him to leave, what does he do?”
Witness “He doesn’t leave. He gets angry and tries to provoke us, saying, ‘Make me leave.’”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Was Austin or Karmelo instigating?”
Witness “Yes, Karmelo.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “When Austin decided to push him out, how did he get to him?”
Witness: “He walked over to him.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “Was Karmelo still sitting down?”
Witness: “I think so.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “Did he grab or push him?”
Witness: “He pushed him on his shoulder area with both hands.”Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “What happens next?”
Witness “Austin tries to force him out because we didn’t have any other choice.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Did Karmelo have his hand in his backpack?”
Witness “Yes.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Describe the push from Austin.”
Witness “A little push.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Austin Melcalfe meant a lot to you.”
Witness “Yes.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Have you been in counseling?”
Witness “Yes.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “It was Karmelo Anthony being stubborn, provoking?”
Witness “Yes.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Was this self defense or murder?”
Witness “This was murder.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “When it was raining, it was okay for him to be in the tent?”
Witness: “Yes.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “Once it stopped raining, he was asked to leave?”
Witness: “Yes.”
Shook is showing cardboard cutout of layout. Witness is saying where everyone was.
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “Did he talk about what was in the backpack?”
Witness: “He said there was something in there.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “You said Eddie called Karmelo mellow?”
Witness: “Yes.”

@NickOnParole@SpinHall@jdmiles11 For Christ sake it was raining ! You people are bullies fr and think that someone is obligated to listen at your demand !!!! It doesn’t work that way anymore! Sorry
@SpinHall@TrishnTN@b1ackfamilyPAC@jdmiles11 How can you provoke someone by sitting down , minding your business?
Austin would have never know he had a knife had he not approached him
ANOTHER NEW WITNESS, A 16-YEAR-OLD BOY, HAS TAKEN THE STAND. HE HAD JUST COME ONTO THE MEMORIAL TRACK MEET BEFORE THE DISTRICT MEET.
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Did you become aware of someone not on the team in your tent?”
Witness: “Yes, he sat next to me.” [Karmelo]
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Did this worry you, bother you, or seem kind of normal?”
Witness: “It was kind of strange because everyone is supposed to be in their home tent.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “What did Karmelo say?”
Witness “He says he wasn’t leaving and says a profanity.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “What did Karnelo do?”
Witness “He was starting to get more aggressive.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “What does he say next?”
Witness “F you all. I’m not going to leave. You’re all a bunch of p@ssies.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “Did Austin take the lead?”
Witness “Yes. Karmelo put his hand in the bag and said five times, ‘Touch me and see what happens.’ Austin said he’s not going to touch this guy. He was calm.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “What did you see during the stabbing?”
Witness “You saw a big hole and blood coming from his upper body.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye: “At some point, did you decide to unfreeze and do something.”
Witness: “Yes, he had a knife, so we ran to the left side of the field. I heard Xavier say, ‘Austin looks dead.”

@TrishnTN@b1ackfamilyPAC@jdmiles11 It’s ok to ask someone to leave but once they refuse it’s NOT your job to make them . Sadly this whole situation could have been avoided
@jdmiles11 As a Prosecutor you are NOT supposed to ask the witnesses if they think it was self defense!!!! It’s NOT a thought . It’s your job to Prove it wasn’t.
More current and former high school students are taking the stand today in the Karmelo Anthony murder trial as the Judge orders testimony on Saturday. Here's some of the back and forth Q&A with prosecutors and defense attorneys with those students.
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye “Was there any reason you saw for Karmelo Anthony to stab Austin Metcalfe?”
Witness “No.”
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye “Was KA acting in self defense?”
Witness “No, that’s lethal force against non-lethal force.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “Did you see Karmelo Anthony before?
Witness “I don’t remember.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “Do you remember telling detective Hunter popped in and defended Austin?”
Witness: “Yes.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “Do you remember in your written statement saying Austin put his hand on his shoulder to intimidate?”
Witness: “Yes. More of a warning. Actions speak louder than words.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “Bigger build?” (Austin)
Witness: “Yeah, more broad.”
Defense attorney Toby Shook: “He could look intimidating from his size.” (refering to Metcalfe)
Witness: “Sure, yes.”

@b1ackfamilyPAC@jdmiles11 Giving someone “a little push” after you and your friends asked them to leave over 15 times and they refused means they have the right to stab you?
@MissInfoShow__ Chud should go to prison too .
But at least he didn't chimp out over a chair 😂😂
Other men are such bitch made pussys these days .
They will start a fight and then get scared and stab or shoot them .
Let me be clear about what happened in the Karmelo Anthony jury selection. Because the lies are traveling and the truth isn't.
FACT: 100% of eligible Black jurors were dismissed.
FACT: The prosecution used peremptory strikes to remove the final three remaining Black jurors all women, all educators.
FACT: Their stated reason was "we don't want educators on the jury."
FACT: The judge allowed a WHITE educator to remain on the jury.
FACT: The Batson challenge the legal objection to racially motivated jury strikes — was denied.
Result: A Black teenager in Texas faces 5 to 99 years before an all-white jury.
Now here's what they want you to believe: that one Black juror who told the court he couldn't be impartial somehow explains all of this away.
It doesn't.
One juror self-selecting out does not explain three prosecutorial strikes that removed every remaining Black juror while a white educator kept their seat.
The truth isn't complicated. The jury was constructed. And Karmelo Anthony could pay the price.

We are back in court for the afternoon session in the Karmelo Anthony trial. The judge has just asked the media NOT to identify upcoming witnesses who are minors. We were not told who the minors are or what they will be testifying to.
