@2026Ratman @juniorkingpp I’m always fascinated at how racists only take interest in learning history unless y’all can twist it and use it against Black people. GWW’s letter was literally what exposed what Leopold was doing, and GWW called him a murderer, rapist etc.

@juniorkingpp This being 70 years ago is fucking wild. My grandmother is 70. It’s also no surprise that it’s not taught that King Leopold murdered about 10 million Black folks in Congo from the late 1800s until the early 1900s. Congo is still trying to recover from that

These are law students, by the way. The future lawyers, prosecutors, judges, and policymakers. When we talk about systemic racism, this is what we mean. It is embedded in the institutions themselves. And it’s hard to believe people who openly think this way will suddenly become fair advocates for Black clients once they enter the legal system.
