Iconic brands cannot rest. Reputation will help protect your business, but will not help you build it or even maintain it in the face of growing competition. marketwatch.com/story/as-gibso…

We all know that "money never sleeps", but every now and again it deserves the chance to sit back and relax a bit. Happy #LabourDay Kenya. Enjoy the break. You've earned it. #ChandCap

It was lovely mentoring two exciting start-ups in the African credit space, @CredPal and @numidatech, determining how well their business models dealt with the market and how to enhance their models.

Today’s album is by Canadian Post-, Symphonic-, Art-, Drone-Rock icons God Speed You! Black Emperor. This, their sixth studio release, “Luciferian Towers (2017), is their best work since “Lift your Skinny Fists...”. #AnAlbumaDay2018

Today’s album: Fiona Apple’s 2012 tongue twister, “The idler wheel is wiser than the driver of the screw and the whipping cords will serve you better than ropes will ever do”. Phew! It sounds like nursery rhymes for moody, sexually confused teenagers. 6/10 #AnAlbumaDay2018

Today’s album throws it back to 1998 with Tortoise’s post-rock epic “TNT”. Ethereal and sweet with great composition. Much different than the band’s earlier work. This is an avante garde gem that I really enjoyed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- #AnAlbumaDay2018

Today’s selection is by Belgian band dEUS with “Worst Case Scenario”. A pure euro-style alt-rock album that’s got an artsy edge to it. Overall a bit inconsistent but the quality song writing makes this album definitely worth the listen. #AnAlbumaDay2018
