@GigaBasedDad I do not believe most professed Christians are moral enough by their own religion's standards to get to heaven.
English

@haha_girrrl Nobody. And if you own a piece of things, or otherwise have power, then it doesn't matter. You'll have your needs and wants met by the AI.
If you don't own a part, well.... good luck.
English

@FenwickDragon I don't disagree. But I also can't escape the broader practicalities.
English

@AaronStuart47 No, I'm holding Trump and the administration up to a certain moral standard
Trump encouraged them to protest, saying we would help them. They already sacrificed their lives. So, we should help them
English

@vinicius_snrr Not a problem if you believe God took a homo sapien and ensouled him to make him human and in the image of God.
English

if God created adam at first without intention to create eve, why did he add reproductive organs

@WestsideLAGuy Either the second or third from the right. But it could be any of them except white dress, fourth from the right.

@QuestsAbroad Here I am falling for obvious bait, but clearly you've never set foot in America or probably even met any Americans irl

The absolute best way to understand the difference between US and Mexican culture is to watch how people leave a dinner party.
🇺🇸 The US: You wait for a lull in conversation, announce to the table that it is getting late, thank the host, and walk to your car.
Total time: five minutes max
🇲🇽 The Mexican: You announce you are leaving. This initiates a new round of conversation. Ten minutes later, you stand up. Then you go to every single person in the room for a hug, a kiss on the cheek, and a small departing chat.
Total time: thirty minutes, at least
It is an entire social event you have to build into your schedule, but it’s one of the many reasons Mexican culture feels so warm and welcoming.

@candlemaker4673 @redeemed_zoomer Fair enough. I couldn't remember. He's still extremely young though, and being married for only a year or two does not position you very well to offer advice on the subject.
Let's see the fruit he bears first.
English

@AaronStuart47 @redeemed_zoomer He is married. Has been for a year or 2 now.
English

5 steps to find a good Christian girlfriend/wife:
1. Make female friends (not to date them per se, but to get to know other girls)
2. Be a good listener
3. Find introverted/nerdy girls to talk to
4. Don’t be afraid to look online. Not dating apps necessarily but general online spaces
5. Talk about faith and marriage early on. Those scared off by that aren’t worth it to begin with
English

@FenwickDragon Indeed it would be. Unfortunately the world is often a shitty place. It's very dangerous to act as if it isn't. Sometimes you just have to realize the limits and embrace the suck.
English

@AaronStuart47 So we're supposed to take electricity away from the civilians, and still leave them under the rule of the Islamists?
That would be extremely shitty of us
English

@hair_harbor @pegobry_en Twlever Shia Islam believes that Muslims must do certain things to prompt the return of a prophesied religious figure, the Mahdi. One of those things is to kill every Jew. Another is to start a global war between Islam and the disbelievers.
Twleverism controls Iran.
English

@pegobry_en I keep hearing this "Death Cult" thing thrown around. Rarely ever explained.
English

For the five billionth time:
- You don’t need a conspiracy theory to explain why the US government is interested in an area that has 50% of the world’s oil and 30% of the world’s trade
- You don’t need a conspiracy theory to explain why the US government feels threatened by a jihadist death cult whose motto is "Death to America" developing nukes

@xevekiah Reason: the intent is not to kill the child. It is to treat the condition. If it has the double effect of killing the child, and can not be prevented, it's tragic but allowed.
Just like a fireman who saves one child at the cost of not saving another didn't kill the second.
English

@xevekiah The medical staff practiced what's called malicious compliance.
There is no state, period, which has laws preventing this care. Literally all pro life laws operate under the principal of double effect. Meaning, if by course of treatment, the child is killed, it is not abortion.
English

a woman with twins found out one fetus had died.
the other still had a heartbeat.
her doctor told her the truth:
“this is dangerous. you could get infected. you could go septic.”
she asked for termination because she already had two kids at home.
the hospital said:
“we can’t terminate a pregnancy with a heartbeat.”
so they sent her home.
she started leaking fluid.
then she started smelling “off.”
then she started running a fever so high she couldn’t think straight.
she came back.
the nurse said:
“you’re anxious.”
she said:
“i’m not anxious. i’m rotting.”
they gave her Tylenol and a pamphlet.
she texted her friend:
“if i die, tell people it wasn’t god. it was the law.”
she survived, barely.
after surgery. after ICU. after her uterus was destroyed.
and politicians still called it “saving babies.”
but what they saved was control.
and what they sacrificed was her body.
Kia 🧸ྀི@xevekiah
what’s a clear example of medical misogyny you’ve witnessed or experienced?
English

@IranSpec Appointing a figure just makes that figure be seen as a puppet. It has to be organic.
If the Iranians can't get it done around a central figure, the next best option is balkanization, or even leaving the Mullahs in charge of a smoking rubble.
Our goal is to thwart, not replace.
English

So the Islamic Republic of Iran is still kicking and screaming.
Every head that is removed, is replaced by another psychopath.
So now what? How can you end a war, when every person you kill is replaced?
Here is how:
1. Increase bombings 10x fold and continue for another 3 weeks, focus solely on Basij/IRGC command nodes + checkpoints.
2. Arm 20,000-40,000 revolutionaries across rural outer areas of Iran.
3. Contact individual commanders, generals, politicians within Iran and offer large cash incentives for defecting.
4. U.S needs to issue a public endorsement of ONE Iranian opposition figure. It’s time.
5. Stop bombings after 3 weeks, publicly announce it’s safe to start protesting.
6. Release 2000 drones across Iran, watching the protests from above. Eliminating suppression units.
7. Fly this opposition figure to a border country (Azerbaijan/Armenia/Iraq) and televise it.
8. Amidst the chaos, take Kharg island and dismantle the ports, jetties, and leave. (6-10 hour operation). This eliminates 90% of Iran’s revenue for at least 3-4 months.
English

@gloccnem We stopped having kids at the same rate, so places began pandering to adults.
English

@PolyphonicRat @chrisschmitz Because you have an occidental mindset. Oriental mindsets absolutely do contain collective guilt.
English

@chrisschmitz The people of Japan weren't the ones that planned or conducted the attack. Those folks are all long gone. I don't see any reason why they should feel guilty about it. Japan has been a great ally since WW2 and should feel good about that.
English

@marcorandazza No you don't. They weren't a civilized nation back then. We sat on their face and forced them to become civilized.
English

Of course it was. If we’re joking about it, it means we’re not mad about it anymore.
We’re not mad about it anymore
Japan is one of the last civilized countries left in the world. A little bit of me wishes they had won that fucking war.
C Schmitz@chrisschmitz
The Pearl Harbor Joke was taken well in Japan, I hear from local sources. The joke broke the "guilt".
English

@isfjcutebear Bout time y'all grew a spine again. Now go make more of you so you're not replaced by Muslims or robots.
English

@dsonoiki The Bible says that when you are unrighteous and turn to righteousness, your evil is forgotten. And when you are righteous and turn to unrighteousness, your good works are forgotten
When McCain or Mueller or etc betray their honor, I'm not interested in revering their past good
