@Rodridiculous Our recruitment has been really bad since the treble year. Marmoush, Semenyo, Donnarumma, Reijnders, even Kovacic are just a few off the top of my head. Our only sure fire hits since 2023 have been Doku, Gvardiol, Cherki, Khusa, and maybe Guehi

The amount of players that have lasted ≤18 months here* in the last 2 years or so isn't talked about enough and is a real red flag against our recruitment, it truly cannot be THAT hard to buy a core of players that sticks instead of a new 50m+ guy every window

moush out kroupi in is decent

@CTID326376 Plus, we weren't even bad. On another day we take our chances and it ends 4-1 and everyone's happy

@Bd_irB_ll I do think the average prem level has gone up quite a bit but it's also fair to say current City and Arsenal are just not as good as those City and Liveepool teams. I do expect City to get close to those levels again with right recruitment, not sure about Arsenal

I was cooking up a loss for you guys against Newcastle but do you prefer a draw instead?

If Burnley can minimise the damage to a +3 goal difference swing tonight I’ll take that
English

@Rodridiculous @u_Thato Arsenal have been scraping past teams for months now and they'll suddenly start scoring 3-4 a game all of a sudden? It's just not going to happen
English

This is kinda my point. I guess what I was trying to say is that not only do we have to match Arsenal’s results from here on out, but also their margins of victory, and the respective fixture lists make this really difficult

@Rodridiculous I genuinely feel like Arsenal’s chances increased tonight. The title was only in our hands if we won by 3 or 4 goals tonight. By not doing so, we have relinquished control of the GD situation to Arsenal and effectively lost a point on them as a result.
English

@Rodridiculous They aren't winning all 5. I'm thinking Newcastle get something if Bruno starts
English

@__TheNearPost_ @u_Thato We looked so much better with Nico G. I get he isn't Rodri but he's still a very good player, especially defensively and can do a job in his absence. How is O'Reilly a better option than him? I don't get it
English

@barlowjacob We were pretty good in the 2nd half. Just didn't finish the chances. Shit happens

A few days on, and that win over Arsenal still feels incredible.
Games like that show character and what this great club is about.
Happy to share this moment with my friend @NoelGallagher — football, music, and Manchester as it should be. City till we die 💙

@henry_parish18 Made a mistake against West Ham as well, didn't he? And Bournemouth? He can't claim a cross to save his life and his passes put our defenders in difficult situations consistently
English

Made a mistake like every goalkeeper does at some point, then went on to make a massive save against Havertz to keep us in the game
That’s exactly why he is one of the best in the world, wouldn’t be in a title race without his saves this season, he is mint 👍

Have to give Donnarumma his props for our second but fuck me he simply can’t continue at the club next season, absolute liability.
