During the 22/23 season I spoke so highly of Gabriel Martinelli, claiming he had a higher ceiling that Saka & a true Ballon D’Or contender. What I saw was him becoming a variant of Sadio Mané, Raphinha - a proper ‘inside forward’ type, not a touchline winger. Sad to see: #AFC

@SirLeoBDasilva They don’t even trust the wingers not to loose the ball. Or pass back under pressure which equally increases the pressure at the back that why they often pass backwards. OUR WINGERS ARE THE PROBLEM NO THE MIDFIELD.

@SirLeoBDasilva Asides that our game play wasn’t too reliant on midfield because Trossard was in form and Saka who wasn’t in form still carried threat going forward. We have no single winger in form and everyone is blaming the midfielders.

Zubimendi was okay at the start of the season. He was not targeted till he made the mistake against Manchester United. In Arteta fashion, instead of coaching, he changed his role to prevent any mistake with Rice at DM. He lost any calm he had on the ball at the back since then.

@FootballEra_ Havertz was supposed to pass to Madueke and wait to receive the ball so and to switch the ball to the other wing. Giving Gyokeres room to be in the box and allowing the team have other attacking options.

Gyokeres has zero help, it’s almost as if he’s the only one trying to win. He started an attacking move all by himself in midfield and ended up in the box 18 before everyone else. Look at Havertz jogging there.
