We have increased the cadence of Artemis missions. In 2027, the Artemis III mission will test one or both commercial landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin in low Earth orbit. In 2028, Artemis IV will become the first Artemis lunar landing.

Over the next two weeks, the twin ESCAPADE spacecraft will venture deep into Earth’s magnetotail, the vast, invisible extension of our planet’s magnetic field stretched far into space by the relentless force of the solar wind. 🌎💫 Here, at the edge of Earth’s magnetic frontier, they’ll explore a dynamic region where solar and planetary forces collide as the first to travel through this distant part of Earth's magnetotail. Terran Orbital and @AdvancedSpace engineers worked together to support CAPSTONE™ , a small spacecraft launched in 2022 to test a new lunar orbit for NASA’s Artemis program. CAPSTONE™ was originally planned as a six‑month mission to confirm the stability of the Near‑Rectilinear Halo Orbit and to show that a CubeSat could navigate and operate far from Earth while testing new techniques for spacecraft‑to‑spacecraft navigation. Three years later, CAPSTONE™ continues to operate and deliver valuable insight into how spacecraft behave in the lunar environment. This long‑running success is the result of the engineers and mission teams who have kept it thriving, proving that skilled problem solving, creativity, and strong collaboration can keep pushing the boundaries of what is possible in space. #AdvancedSpace #TerranOrbital #EWeek2026 #EngineeringExcellence #EngineeringWeek2026 #EngineeringWeek
