Bro.. lol First of all, it’s the “Strait of Hormuz.” Second, it wasn’t closed during Obama’s administration… and thirdly Obama didn’t pay $1.7 billion for the strait. He settled a 1970s lawsuit over a canceled arms deal, returning $400 million of Iran’s own money plus interest, which saved US taxpayers from a $10 billion court judgment.. the only time been closed in modern times is now, due to Trump.
