Vibe Coding update on POPRUN → Turning Solo Runs Into Social Runs 🏃♂️📲
This video is only the UX/UI flow, but I also have a functioning prototype on Rork.
I'm stuck on in-app video posting though 👀
Looking for a builder/partner to take this further. DMs open 🚀 #vibecoding
8th Wall is now open source.
The same codebase that powered thousands of WebAR experiences now lives at 8thwall.org
Inspect it. Fork it. Build on it.

Created with Unity AR and Stability AI’s Img-to-3D API, a super fast way to experiment and have fun.
I originally built this prototype in WebAR. The idea actually came to me while I was reading a book to my daughter.
I was imagining something like a “souvenir catcher”, a way to capture something you see and want to collect and keep with you or a way to bring your own drawing to life, or a favorite character from a book, into the world around you.
Move your hand toward or away from the camera or move it left, right, up, down etc. to guide the butterfly through the 3D scene. See if you can land on the flowers!
The first tries are not necessary simple but once you understand and with some practice I had the feeling it was starting to be fun so decided to share it!

RTFM (Real-Time Frame Model) explores real-time, interactive frame generation from images, producing new views on the fly without explicit 3D.
It differs from Marble, which targets high-fidelity persistent worlds (3DGS). We’re interested in how ideas from both might connect 🌎
Built with @ZapparApp Mattercraft, I created a small "time-travel" AR experience that transforms a modern Japanese community park into an imagined Showa-era alternative.
Through a portal, the surroundings become interactive, letting you observe fictional "people from back in the day" standing in the exact same location.
It’s purely fiction, but I loved exploring the concept. I used a photo of the area to generate a World Labs Gaussian Splat model for the portal environment, then captured the place from multiple angles to generate short video moments of what everyday life might have looked like in that era.

I’ve been learning some new UE5 techniques and testing them in AR for fun, also as a little challenge for myself.
Quick breakdown: Niagara trail on desktop -> then converting the Handheld AR demo into a character controller -> finally testing the trail effects in AR and scene adjustments.

👾📍Scavenger-hunt style game: built with Mattercraft, using Gemini AI for photo verification.
→ Users are given a deck of "polaroid" quests
→ Randomly select one, then go to the spot
→ Check your quest and look for the specific item, capture a photo
→ Once you find it, a "Found it" stamp appears on the photo you took
→ Finally your reward is revealed in AR 🎁
