@Keir_Starmer So sad to hear your words about immigrants creating an island of strangers, I was prompted to post for the first time in months. Listen to yourself. Are you really a Labour party politician? Today I cancel my membership

MP's can clearly see that cuts to disability support are wrong, that it won't lead to increased employment & may cost them their seats. Ministers have become overly obsessed with self imposed fiscal rules & blinded themselves the immorality of these cuts theguardian.com/politics/2025/…

Tarassenko's claims completely dismiss the realities of patients' experiences: “There is no evidence that the appropriate use of the Oxevision technology is a contributory factor to the death of any inpatients. Patient experience of Oxevision has been very positive.”
Stop Oxevision@StopOxevision

We know from our experience, and our conversations with other patients with experience of Oxevision, how harmful the system can be. To hear of people losing their life while under Oxehealth monitoring is devastating Our thoughts are with their loved ones theguardian.com/society/2025/m…

Today marks 6 months stuck on a medical ward. We had a discharge plan for a little while and I thought I was going home. Now thats fallen through there is still no end in sight. This is one of the toughest things I've had to do - and thats saying something. Our NHS is a mess.

Great to see the 1st paper from Beth's PhD 'Service users’ experiences of restrictive practices in adult inpatient mental health services. A systematic review and meta-ethnography of qualitative studies' #abstract" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

There’s a discussion to be had about the pros and cons of diagnosis in informing public policy, but you won’t hear it in a Kuenssberg interview. I’ll wait for a more thoughtful exploration of Streeting’s views before judging. theguardian.com/society/2025/m…

I did not expect in my lifetime to see the backlash against feminism, the re-emergence of such blatant racism and now, the vicious assault on people with disabilities and/or mental health problems. While far from perfect, we had made so progress as a society. This is very grim.

Sixteen disability charities have written an open letter to Rachel Reeves expressing alarm at reports that the government is planning to cut PIP. The impact of the proposed cuts could be “devastating”, pushing 700,000 disabled households into poverty. scope.org.uk/campaigns/open…

Reports suggest the government plans to cut PIP (disability benefit) by up to £5bn, potentially pushing 700,000 disabled households into poverty. 16 leading charities, including the Trussell Trust, Scope, and Mind, warn of a "catastrophic impact." Slashing support without fixing broken public services is not the answer. The DWP is broken. We need long-term reform and investment in health and social care, not short-term cuts that balance the nation’s finances on the backs of the most vulnerable. msn.com/en-gb/news/ukn…

Never been more disgusted by @UKLabour . Cutting #DisabilityBenefits to the most disabled is cruel and inhumane. DLA is for disabled CHILDREN. Are we expecting people like my severely disabled 12 year old to work now??

@Shrink_at_Large Not surprised as I have just had to access a mental health team for the person I am carer for. She made 3 attempts, requiring hospital, due to fear of what the Tories were doing and is now at her wits end again due to Labour. Well done @Keir_Starmer and @leicesterliz

20 minutes into this programme I am urging Labour Cabinet members to stand up to the Treasury to prevent it forcing through cuts in benefit payments to disabled people. I am desperately worried about the harm & suffering to be inflicted on the poorest. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…
