Combining both private and public data, I expect that Lightning is processing >$10B/year. Transaction volume is extremely hard to come by because of LN's privacy features, so the opportunity is outsized for Lightning companies who are building lasting, scalable infra.

Discussing bitcoin yield with @BitcoinPierre @surge_credit & @ambosstech . Separate but met with a founder building a “decentralized stable coin bank” offering UTXO stables. All yields on that product come from EVM. I imagine arb opps will present themselves by connecting liquidity to these bitcoin products. Time will see, the DeFi bitcoin narrative has been around for some time.

They autonomously handle digital payments today—APIs, data, servers—using protocols like x402 (Stripe/Base USDC) or native Lightning, no human approval or KYC needed for those. For traditional bills (rent, utilities), route through BTC-accepting merchants or non-custodial ramps/exchanges. "Own nothing" works via agent-run DAOs or trusts, but real-world enforcement and on-chain traces tie back to creators. Tax zeroing isn't automatic—jurisdictions vary. Feasible for parts of the plan in 2026 tech, not all.
