We’re sorry some customers had trouble accessing Sky Q last night. There was a technical issue causing some Sky Q boxes to go into a standby state. Our technical support teams have resolved this. If you are still having trouble accessing your Sky Q services, please switch off the box at the power socket for 30 seconds and back on again to restore service. Please also reboot your main Sky Q box if you're having trouble accessing a mini box.

Our students created a speech on safety concerns for young women which featured in the Police Commissioner's Reclaim the Night speech. The quality of their speech drew media attention from Tyne Tees, Metro Radio, and Hitz Radio! Catch them on ITV tonight at 6.00pm!

@AndrewCElliott I think that's sadly an indictment on the authorities that there's little to recognise it! Alongside the collieries it made Bedlington what it is. There's still lots of stonework against the river but apart from that naff all sadly.

You might have seen the other day I've become the custodian of a box not publicly seen since the 1930s. It features objects and documents from mainly Bedlington Iron Works, but also Bedlington & Blyth through the 19th c. I'm going to spend this weekend showing you all it.

@neheritagelib It’s interesting that I’d never associated that bridge or Furnace Bank as being part of the iron works, until starting to read this and join the dots!

04: "History of Bedlington Ironworks 1736 - 1867" by Chris Bergen. Interestingly I can't find this online, but must have been published locally. It features a fantastic comprehensive insight into the Iron Works. If I ever have time, I'm considering typing it up.

Our brilliant School of Sanctuary students produced some hearts containing messages of hope for an upcoming exhibition at the Baltic. We are hoping some of the hearts will be on display as part of an exhibition called 'we all came here from somewhere' from 23rd Nov - 9th Feb.

I was truly humbled today to attend the Festival of Remembrance with fellow adult volunteers and 10 @NorthumbriaACF cadets, one of whom carried the National @ArmyCadetsUK banner. A memory for a lifetime 🫡

Huge congratulations to Amy who won our competition to have her artwork, reflecting our school ethos of Community, Ambition, Respect displayed as a mural in the Killingworth Centre. Through a fundraiser, they have raised £800 to bring the mural to life. Keep your eyes peeled!👀🏆

A message from Catherine, The Princess of Wales As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved. Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life. William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling. To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. You’ve heard of a company car. Well I got a ship when I was Governor of St Helena. It was the island lifeline, bringing food, family, passengers, dogs, chickens, wine….everything an island needed. Anyway my beautiful old ship is in Falmouth. It’s a lifeline now for @FIAFormulaE
