@England_Pod Reece James has been great to be fair. If Declan is carrying a knock then surely we have enough to beat Panama....if we don't then we deserve to go home.

@BeckBronson62 @amelia_tweetz That's exactly what I wouldn't want on my headstone. He had 2 weeks holiday in 30 yrs, imagine being proud of that statement 😳 There's no pockets in a shroud & I definitely don't want to be the richest man in the cemetery, life is for living, only one life so live it & love it

@amelia_tweetz Amelia, it's why Europe's economy has languished since WWII and the USA has become a juggernaut. Euro's don't think twice about taking a month+ off from work (and they can!) and touring the US for soccer. I've has two 2 week vacas in 30 yrs of service-no complaints but why US #1

Watching the World Cup has me asking questions. Do Europeans get issued 8 weeks of vacation, unlimited airline miles, and a trust fund at birth? Because every match I turn on there are 40,000 fans following their team to a different state or country on a Tuesday afternoon while Americans are hiding in a work bathroom checking scores.

@NotOrangePod Who signs off on these things ? I'm not a fan of this, the sleeves look weird. What happened to the days when the club presented options and the fans had a vote

#OnThisDay 1996 Euro ‘96 kicked off with England against Switzerland. Alan Shearer (@alanshearer) opened the scoring from a brilliant Paul Ince pass, before a late penalty pegged England back ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

34 years ago this weekend, ITV gave us a preview of the new song for their Euro ‘92 coverage. ‘You Are The Number One’ remained as the music of the network’s live football matches for the next three years. An absolute banger.

Euro 96 started 30 years ago tomorrow. One of my favourite summers ever. The opening titles on the BBC and ITV always played a huge part in giving a tournament its own character and helping to create memories that last a lifetime. Here they are back-to-back, with the BBC first…

TELLY GOLD: It’s the anniversary of the opening day of Italia 90, so here’s the intro to the official BBC tournament round-up. Des Lynam, in a marvellous coat, with Adamski on soundtrack. Splendid stuff.

It’s 36 years since Italia 90 kicked off in sensational style. Big Benjamin Massing launches Claudio Caniggia into The Land of Wind and Ghosts. Run it off, son. (👍🎥 @90sfootball)

National League on DAZN@DAZN_NationalLg

🚨 Rochdale and York City have released the following joint statement: “This Saturday’s game brings an end to one of the most thrilling, exciting and unpredictable title races in football history. Both ourselves and Rochdale have the chance to write our names in National League history. The National League is no longer a non-league competition. It is effectively a League 3, with fully professional clubs operating at a level equal to or higher than many of those in League 2. We both understand how important this game is to both clubs and supporters. We both pledge now that whatever happens tomorrow, we will both continue to fight for 3UP. Both clubs sit on over 100 points. One of us will have to fight once more in the National League Play-Offs. However, we both strongly believe that this shouldn’t have to be the case. We call on the National League, Football Regulator, EFL and Premier League to come together immediately and resolve this issue, so that we do not have to highlight this injustice year after year. For both sets of supporters attending the Crown Oil Arena this weekend, we say thank you for being with us all season. The passion you’ve shown for both clubs has been felt across the world. This game will be seen far and wide. We want to showcase this league for all its potential. Keep your support in the stands, not on the pitch, and let’s all protect the game we love. Thank you! Rochdale AFC & York City FC”

@NL_Enterprise Haha, remember voting to scrap fa cup replays? Sold your soul to the Premier league chaps. Neither York or Rochdale were complaining when they were lower end league 2 and are now moaning about it. Simple really, don't get relegated to NON-League
