Only 5 teams out of 2917 high school teams were able to get perfect scores (300 points ) on the operating systems for this round. A testament to how much more difficult this round is compared to the 1st.

Our all girls team finished with 117 points - goal met before taking into account networking. Our other first year teams is still putting in some time, but they are at 170 and working hard to hit their goal of 200.

As this round wraps up for TAHS CyberPatriot teams it is very evident on how difficult of a round this is from the 1st. Our veteran team hit a wall at 162 points - we'll see how they finish when the networking scores come in later.

@teatitans @TeaAreaDistrict I am pretty limited in my role during Cyber Patriot competition rounds. However, it is my favorite thing to be a part of. I love watching the collaboration, listening to the problem solving, and the celebration when a team scores another point.

The TAHS CyberPatriot vets are looking to solidify a spot in the platinum tier for the State Round - a first for TAHS.

Goals of 110 points and 200 points for our first year teams are admirable. Our first year teams are currently tracking to be in the silver and gold tiers respectively. A gold tier placement would be a first for a first year Titans team.

@TeaAreaDistrict @teatitans the TAHS teams have now started Round 2 of the CyberPatriot competition. The late start was both necessary for all members to be available and a strategic move as well. All three teams have big goals.

@teatitans The final day of Round 1 is done! A grand total of 2977 teams took part. Round 2 will be here quickly as it will go on from 11/2-11/6. Our teams have completed a PDSA, they have new goals set, and an action plan. We start preparing for Round 2 tomorrow.

@teatitans As 2567 teams have now entered into the competition there has been movement for our teams. They are now placed at 520, 811, and 1847. The top team finished the round in 20 minutes 🤯.

@teatitans I often get the question, " What is CyberPatriot". Teams are placed in a scenario in which they are newly hired junior IT staff. They have to make operating systems secure and properly setup a network. There are "flags" that get scored when a security issue is resolved.

@teatitans At the end of day 3 of competition there are now 2226 teams and our top team is ranked 417. That still puts them in the top 18% overall! Our other two teams now sit at 675 and 1565 respectively.

@teatitans As an update - this is a competition that goes on throughout the year. 1st round ends Monday. There are now 1400 teams that have entered the competition. Teams from the US, Canada, England, Germany, Spain, Italy, South Korea, and Japan!

@hackedpodcast @MKBHD Thanks for the reply! I definitely agree and think that Microsoft is focused on marketing to industry rather than the general consumer. Just as mentioned on the podcast though. If there aren't useful apps to back up either, I don't see either going very far.

@AngSti04 @MKBHD I (JB) think HoloLens 2 is about the best full on AR headset you can make today, and it reveals how hard doing that well is right now. The field of view is supposed to be miles ahead of the HoloLens 1.
