🚨 Serious concern for the trading community 🚨
.@AngelOne is charging interest on margin shortfall based on peak intraday margin, even when positions are squared off the same day.
This is not how most brokers operate — interest is typically calculated on end-of-day debit, not peak exposure.
Charging on peak margin creates artificial shortfall + unfair interest burden on traders.
This isn’t just a policy difference — it impacts every active trader’s P&L silently.
Need full transparency:
• How is peak margin shortfall computed intraday?
• Why interest on temporary exposure?
• Where is this clearly disclosed?
Requesting urgent clarification.
@SEBI_India @NSEIndia @BSEIndia — please intervene.
Retail traders shouldn’t be penalized for intraday risk management.

@AngelOne It is still the same. Is it deliberately changed by AngelOne or just a glitch?? People who are habitual of placing orders assuming the default is 'Carry Forward' may run into trouble with orders. I tried just now and 'Intraday' is selected by default.
Please confirm.

@AngelOne how does the default "Carry Forward" changes itself to "Intraday" for OptionTrading?? This has happened in the past and has happened again now. This is not done. Please have this fixed. It has happened in the past also when the default in the App got changed itself.

@AngelOne Why only charges are so special whereas all other brokers charges interest on margin shortfall end of day basis…. For intraday peak margin utilised, you are charging interest based on that, which is a clear unprofessional and selfish act from your end being a renowned broker

@AngelOne the service quality is bad and customer support are worst. They do not provide any reasons no formal reply to applications / requests/ mails. Disappointed with your service. Even a simple task of updating KYC is so difficult.
