@lyncey_gilbe Typical egoistic person Starmer is if that is true.it just shows the Labour party that if he goes he takes his mps with him instead of being a man and take it on the chin and resign gracefully. Tomorrow at 2pm would be perfect.
The public will not forgive us if we start turning inwards.
We were elected with a clear mandate.
When we go into the next election with the question of who should run the country: Keir, Kemi, or Nigel - the answer is clear. Keir delivered 2024, he can deliver again.
1/2 'Will this trigger more serious figures in the party to decide it’s time for Starmer to call time on himself?'
@BethRigby has the latest, as a junior member of the govt resigns and calls for the PM to stand down.
More than 50 Labour MPs have now called for the PM to resign
On our @skynews list, we now have 50 MPs calling on Starmer to go. Two well plugged in sources tell me that what could happen next is that PPS’s begin to resign and then do the cabinet step in on Starmer? But so many moving parts…. We wait & watch
I think @Keir_Starmer did brilliantly. He spoke honestly to reporters afterwards, not ducking or diving or making excuses. He connectred with them, didnt't speak at them. My God we are lucky to have him as PM. 🙏🌹
🗣️ Ed Miliband: "I steered well clear of Mandelson when I became Labour leader in 2010."
He tells @SophyRidgeSky both he and David Lammy were "worried" about Peter Mandelson's appointment to be UK ambassador to the U.S.
🚨Parliament debate latest
Labour MP Emma Lewell says she will defy the Labour party whip and vote for Starmer to be investigated over Peter Mandelson.
Apparently she is the second one so far today.
The prime minister is right. We need to get back to the heart of Europe.
That will never happen whilst the red lines remain on the single market, the customs union and freedom of movement.
They need to go now and be seen to go now otherwise it’s a waste of time.

We’ve saved British Steel once before, now new legislation will give us the power to bring British Steel into public ownership.
We’re protecting British jobs, British industry and British interests.
@SkyNews Ad the mps from Labour's growth group that would be more than enough for a vote of no confidence.get some credibility back into the party while you can.
Many Labour MPs believe Keir Starmer will not survive as Labour leader for long enough to fight the next election, but what they cannot agree on, however, even after a disastrous set of results in last week’s elections, is how his departure might come about.
Labour makes it difficult to unseat a leader: none has been formally ejected in the postwar period, though some have resigned under pressure from their own MPs.
Sky's @LucyJMcDaid explains.

@KarlTurnerMP@NickFerrariLBC Says another mp who voted against grooming gangs inquiry.all you are afraid of is if it gets to hot for Starmer and he calls for a early general election you my old son will be out of a job!
I like @NickFerrariLBC I mean he’s a brilliant journalist and impressive examiner of Ministers and shadow Ministers et al but I’m sick to death of him taking the Micky out of our country’s Prime Minister. This is tantamount to bullying now. Leave him be.🤷🏼♂️
I am hereby giving notice to No10 that I am collecting names of Labour MPs to call on the Prime Minister to set a timetable for the election of a new leader in September.
I have listened to the Prime Minister's speech this morning. I welcome the renewed energy and ideas. However, I have reluctantly concluded that this morning’s speech was too little too late.
