Incredible history. Truth is--the "first Thanksgiving" wasn't the Pilgrims at Plymouth Rock. It was the Eucharist as the center of the first Mass in the colonies which literally means "thanksgiving," celebrated 392 years ago today.

@RalphNorman Do we really want term limits when people barely know who their state reps are? If we're constantly cycling through reps, people will have no idea who is representing them and what their positions are.

We need to focus our attention on primarying some of these weak Republican senators. The filibuster conversation is completely void if we can't even get our Republican senators together to pass a bill to begin with. More Morenos and Lees and fewer McConnells and Murkowskis.

As of now, breaking the filibuster is a one way street that the GOP loses, in our opinion. The Senate GOP is not in a good enough place for us to be confident that they could wield it. We are on pace for 8 (Maybe more) upgrades this year, we just need this cycle, and maybe another. Even without the filibuster, something as well supported as the SAVE Act is still down 3 GOP Senators. - McConnell - Murkowski - Tillis This brings it down to 50, on something wildly popular. The Senate GOP is simply not there to cross this Rubicon to pass legislation. "But the Dems will undo it", well they could have, and yes Manchin and Sinema are no longer there, but the GOP at that point would have to just hope. The ultimate issue is that Dems can secure power easier than we can. We can barely get 50 votes on the Voter ID, while the Senate can get +4 Dem Senators from DC, and PR alone. The Dems are much more united on their ability to push through legislation. Especially when they are the majority. This isn't us saying that the Senate GOP is doing the right thing, we simply are explaining the calculation at play.
