Great year for Miami. Ran into a really good Purdue team who executed their game plan very well. More chalk. Miami had their chances just couldn’t get it done. Hats off to Paint and the Boilermakers.

@dilanesper By this definition Louisville was also a mid major for their two national titles in the 80s. As for Gonzaga they are and have been a national program for a while now.

@dilanesper I mean actually no. Their conference was mid major but the program wasn’t. They literally built the Thomas and Mack center 18000 campus arena. The Shark made them a national program powerhouse. Four final fours

Few is a good coach. But mid majors not winning the NCAA tournament (the last one that did was UNLV 35 years ago) is not some accident. the entire structure of college athletics is skewed to favor the power schools.

@discoque92 Spingarn had quite the hoops history. Elgin Baylor, Dave Bing, the General, then my era they had this backcourt of Fred Primus and Will Smith who could get buckets. Sad they closed the school.

I was a freshman at DeMatha when this Spingarn team beat my Stags for the Interhigh Championship. Sherman Douglas was the PG for Spingarn. Danny Ferry and the late Jerrod Mustaf were on Stags.

Ernest Udeh is going to get a look in the NBA. Certainly will receive camp invites no question summer league. He’s 6’11 with great defensive instincts. Quick spring and is an absolute monster on the boards. Active on the offensive glass and has elite footwork defensively

@BC_Castaldo @bd242223 @CanesResearch @JonRothstein Yes they will have a significant advantage but not like Missouri had. That crowd was as loud as I’ve heard a round of 64 game and it wasn’t fans of other teams rooting for an upset.

@bd242223 @CanesResearch @JonRothstein I fully expect Purdue to have the overwhelming fan advantage Sunday, but they are a 2-seed playing 4 hours from campus, which is a normal NCAA Tournament advantage. Not a 10-seed playing 90 minutes away.
