It absolutely is. The fact that you questioned it in that manner shocks me quite frankly. I'd expect more outrage than a light quip. I'm an American Marine. The land is under a shared trust. It's the people's property. A military that serves that people doesn't hide anything from them.

You pay income taxes on income, not net worth. That's why you're so rich. You get all the freebies because of your job that you don't have to spend money. Your salary should be pegged to the national average. And you shouldn't have summers off anymore either. That was because summer in a swamp sucks. You have air conditioning now.

Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500. If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.
