Did my taxes this weekend. Nothing like being middle class w/ 2 dependents, own a home, max out 401K, HSA & FSA contributions, and don't claim any deductions in my paycheck, but still owe $6K... The new Trump tax plan seems to cost me more every year.

I’d love to help because the math ain’t mathing. I’m a CPA who did taxes for years. One of two things is likely the issue 1). Your W4 isn’t right. Like if you marked your married with two kids and your wife didn’t same. that is common reason for your situation 2). One person makes more than the other and it’s not reflected on the w4. W4 are independent docs so if you make $40k they withhold as if total household income is 40k . If the other person makes 200k that means the 40k person vastly under withheld at the actual rate The other option is your not telling the whole story and have other income sources beyond w2

This man came out and was trying to go home. For whatever reason he noticed the front car was an inch from him while the back car was literally touching his bumper. He didn’t want to risk more damage and ended up leaving his car there overnight risking it being cited or towed. If someone did this to you what would you do, wouldn’t the logical thing be to have the back car that’s touching your car towed away so you can leave?
