DLMM pools on Metropolis use a dynamic fee mechanism built directly into the protocol logic. There is no reliance on external oracles, and no delay before dynamic fees kick in.
Each DLMM pool shows a base fee and a max fee. As volatility rises, LP earnings increase dynamically with market activity. That is why LPs eat well on Metropolis, even when the base fee is set low.
