More people in the groups, better search, advanced bots, minimal moderation of content, anti-censorship philosophy, rarely taking down content or cooperating with law enforcement agencies unless under extreme circumstances. But, Telegram hosts a disproportionately higher amount of scammers, illicit adult content which includes non-consensual pornography and child pornography, active scammers of all kinds, and piracy hub compared to other mainstream messaging apps like WhatsApp or Signal. Instead of crying like a bitch about govt banning them, Telegram should do something about how they enable and empower criminals on telegram.
