@comedylopez He clearly thought you were "one of them" and attacked you anyway. This is the bigger danger with islamophobia. It catches everyone who's a different shade. Europeans included.

@comedylopez 🧑🏾‍💻😱 You got a taste of what South Asians and Arabs have had to deal with here regularly since 2014. Sorry this happened to you.

Had a horrible experience on way to a gig tonight; complete opposite to the usual experience I’ve had in Yorkshire and North of England previously. I got the train from Leeds, almost all the seats taken (so far so normal)…

@H_H_Gray @AndyBurnhamGM Sure enough, we had riots the other month, even though they got Brexit. So they got to know threat of riots works. Same again with clean air zone. 130,000 person Facebook group Trojaned by Reform UK, forced Burnham to U-turn. F/FWD again and here we are.

@H_H_Gray @AndyBurnhamGM 🧑🏾‍💻This definitely isn't the first miscalculation. One sticking in my throat (was in the room in 2018) he told Remain activists he shouldn't call for a 2nd referendum as GMP said there would be "civil disorder" I told him they'd take the mile & still give him civil disobedience

@WorldByWolf @PolitlcsUK @GOVUK And even the domestic terror threat from the UK far-right. After all this was an islamophobic attack in particular. Many of those countries also have fundamentally anti-Muslim policies

It is likely that we will all experience much exposure to cyber crime and random hackings as AI delivers new skills to the curious and criminally minded In the UK I have just heard on the news that our rail system has been compromised with the Wi-Fi which passengers use having been hacked and now producing inappropriate images for passengers Strange then that whilst I am a regular speaker in many AI spaces throughout the week there is hardly any discussion of the enhanced risk for AI induced cyber crime and alongside that, the insurance sector's capabilities to handle what I would think is a rapidly escalating and totally underestimated threat

Manchester is much nicer than Birmingham and clearly on it's way to being the decisive "second city" of the UK. What caused this?

BREAKING: The Harris campaign is editing news headlines on Google search ads to make it look like reputable news sites are giving her favorable reporting, according to Axios. These are the same people who accuse the right of “misinformation.” The news sites include the Guardian, Reuters, CBS News and others. Google says the ads don't violate their rules however a similar practice has previously been banned on Facebook.

🧑🏾‍💻 Dear .@Channel4 election coverage. Why are you letting politicians talk numbers? You have @FryRsquared on who can give you credible answers and you goose your coverage by letting politicians speculate with no expertise

Everyone knows Labour are going to win the election, but if you’re feeling like there’s no point in voting as the outcome is a foregone conclusion, I’d like to draw your attention to something really radical that is on offer tomorrow: 1/8

Get ready for Neo-facism in France. Marine Le Pen’s National Rally party has won the first round of the French parliamentary election. If this is the real face of Europe, then people learned nothing from Nazi Germany.

@AutomediU @DigitalPhamcist So step 1, submit grievance letter and go off sick. Since this came out of nowhere. Letter should state grounds, including this unreasonable behaviour. Ask for grievance policy. Grievance must be processed first.

@AutomediU @DigitalPhamcist 🧑🏾‍💻 I still have access to this account you know 😁 Yes, this is an instant grievance in its own right tbh. The 2hr time limit is unreasonable, as its impossible to get advice or seek support in that time. If stress is a factor, this is aggravating.

A story to relay from a contact. He got sent a letter raising allegations by his NHS manager. The letter arrived at 5pm and demanded a response by 11am the following day. That’s 2 working hours. Really is astonishing. Not to mention it’s Ramadan, so breaking the fast, evening prayers, 3:30am to get up for breakfast. No food or water. The NHS can be so unkind to its BAME staff that it’s almost unbelievable that these things happen today. The merit of the allegations is up for dispute but that’s a whole other story. It was the unkindness that really got to me. Anyway #RamadanMubarak

@ETSchirm @NorFoulFiend @Earth2Ceres @engineers_feed 🧑🏾‍💻 In the UK, the whole of the telephone network still supports pulse dialling. It's too expensive to change everything to be tone dialling only. So they just changed the exchange & keep 100 yr old hardware. Fibre is decoupling, so it'll still be available for another 100 yrs

@NorFoulFiend @Earth2Ceres @engineers_feed Only if the phone system would still accept rotary phone signals. If it exclusively uses DTMF (Touch Tone), then it won't work.
