@glenny50001 @NYCSchools There is not a hiring freeze for counselors. I was able to create a line to hire an additional counselor.

@NYCSchools Have teachers received this? We need MORE counselors; however, there’s a hiring freeze on counselors. Hmm

🆕 Today we announced “Bridge to School,” a Citywide initiative for the 2020-21 school year focused on the social and emotional well-being of students and adults in order to create a safe, supportive learning environment that confronts the trauma caused by the COVID-19 crisis.

BBMS is open for registration. Call main office for virtual appointment or to drop off medical forms. We are in the building!!!!

We need to do better. Today a teenager spit on my daughter. This is a teenager she doesn’t know. We need to do better to educate our youth. Spitting on someone is not acceptable-and in this pandemic unsafe and unhealthy.
