We’ve written to healthcare leaders, chief medical officers and employer organisations about the regulation of physician associates (PAs) and anaesthesia associates (AAs). You can read our letter on our website: gmc-uk.org/news/news-arch… The letter explains more about our approach to regulation, including our role in helping to make sure PAs and AAs are working within their competence and that they’re appropriately supervised. We've also published information about the Dr Zaw case, as the tribunal decision has been misrepresented as setting out the responsibility and accountability of doctors when supervising PAs and AAs.
