🚨 TRANSFER ALERT ⚾️ Former Mississippi St. pitcher @Jacob_Pruitt_30 is taking his talents to @MizzouBaseball ⚾️ Pruitt spent two years at Indiana State throwing 63 innings across 27 appearances (6 starts) ⚾️ In 2025, Pruitt worked 18 2/3 innings for Mississippi State striking out 23. ⚾️ Pruitt will be joining a revamped pitching staff that struggled with a 9.19 team ERA giving up 458 ER in 448 1/3 innings ➡️ Pruitt will be a big part of the staff in 2026.

TRANSFER ALERT: Rice Owls raid the Volunteers and pick up their second pitcher from the Tennessee Volunteers in 2025. P Tanner Wiggins joins a Rice baseball staff that took a step backwards in 2025. @TWiggins_18 spent 2024 with the Volunteers appearing in 4 games striking out 33% of the batters he faced. @RiceBaseball staff struggled last year in most meaningful stats but they've focused on this weakness in the portal. Along with Wiggins, Rice also picked up 6'4'' Wichita State transfer pitcher Jeremiah Arnett (23 G, 6 GS in 2025), Tennessee transfer Brayden Sharp (11 games in last two years), and TCU transfer Jax Traeger (13 games in 3 years at TCU) - solidifying their pitching staff going into 2026 with more experience than they've had in quite awhile.

This might seem like a lot but according to @64Analytics the Volunteers are losing 27 players to the portal. Thus, they must have a robust transfer class to make up for the crazy amount of players who have entered the portal.
