I am studying Isaiah and clearly there is ONE God: 43:10 "No god was formed before me, and there will be none after me. I am the Lord. Besides me there is no Savior." 44:6 "I am the first and the last. There is no God but me." 45:18 "I am the Lord and there is no other."

Ever notice how Mormons love to talk about Jesus, but shut down when you want to talk about God? That’s because they believe God was once just like you and me. Walking on some earth, somewhere, just like we are today. Their teachings on God are so wrong that Jesus is moot. The Mormon concept of God is essentially an exalted and perfected version of a human. They believe that God began as a man and, like all gods had done before him, became a god. Even before he was man, he was a preexistent spirit in some preexistent world, the offspring of an older god and his celestial wives. Mormon doctrine holds that, after he became a god, he and a heavenly mother had spirit children that include you, me, Jesus, and even Lucifer. God, according to Mormons, wasn’t always God; his deity was the result of living an exceptionally holy life. That’s why they have to keep you arguing about Jesus and the Creeds and avoid God altogether. 👍

“You guys believe in another Jesus” is a dishonest debate tactic. Imagine doing that with any other historical person. “You guys believe in a different Julius Caesar.” “You guys believe in a different George Washington.”

As a Muslim, there's something that genuinely bothers me. Millions of Muslims live in Christian majority countries, build mosques, preach Islam publicly, distribute Qur'ans, open halal businesses, and demand religious freedom,and rightly so. Some even call for aspects of Shariah to be accommodated in the societies they've moved to. Yet in some Muslim majority countries, Christians cannot openly preach the Gospel, build churches freely, or practice their faith without restrictions. Why? If we demand religious freedom for ourselves, we should be willing to grant it to others. Truth does not need censorship. If Islam is the truth, it has nothing to fear from a church, a Bible, or a Christian preacher. You can't demand tolerance and freedom for Muslims abroad while denying the same freedoms to others at home. The double standard needs to be called out.

This law to me has always echoed the unique, often divisive, doctrine of Latter-Day Saint theology that man was in the beginning with God, and that intelligence, as well as matter, are eternal elements of the universe. I noticed studying this evening that the revelation in Doctrine & Covenants 93 was given to Joseph Smith from our Lord Jesus Christ in 1833, 14 years prior to the formalization of the first law of thermodynamics. I would say that is prophetic.
