oh this is absolutely WONDERFUL !!!! my mum used to sing me Marie Lloyd songs as lullabies - and my wife and I sang " My Old Man" etc to our kids when they were nippers in the 1980s! ( probably the only house in Massachusetts to do that)

@Matt_building Alan was a renaissance man and a terrific history tutor. His EU stance had far too much to do with the parallels he saw with the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His despair at what became of UKIP reminds us that no parent is entirely to blame for the errors of their children.
