You can tell this one means a lot to him after last season, & the growing possibility that this is his final season at City.

It’s certainly not anywhere close to this simplistic but it’s a team used to winning the big occasion vs a team inexperienced in doing so. Once they (likely) win the league, I feel like the timidness in their approach will change, not just for them but for others watching on.

Great first half. Felt open early on & once everything became compact City really started taking it to them. Still doesn’t feel like either team has the distinct advantage, may just come down to an individual moment of brilliance or a very good off-ball run + cross into the box.

@_tsimulatinplay You’re probably right, but it is interesting to see the run-ins. For instance, it may actually favour a team like Spurs to play away from home instead of feeling the anxiety from the home crowd.

Mind-boggling to consider it extended Tudor’s life as Spurs manager & somehow didn’t grind Arne’s to a halt.

Fascinating that Tottenham’s lowest point in my memory took a brief hiatus at Anfield & just kept rolling on. This is a horrific football team at the moment & we couldn’t even grab the maximum points at Anfield. At fucking Anfield.

@70YardRun It’s more likely to be the training sessions but I mean a lack of motivational prowess following Jurgen’s tenure, while unlikely, could be a part of it. I’d put my money either on laid back training sessions or a lacklustre preseason fitness routine.

@BeautifulGameJS Do you think Slot sees it as a problem? Like he tells them they are all overweight? Or its stemmed from his ‘laid back’ training routines that give the players extra days off?

It’s truly unfathomable to consider that we’ve outran opponents a grand total of 4 times of a possible 31 this season. The hierarchy may’ve grabbed the right guy to get the most out of the squad last season, but they’re culprits in establishing & allowing this new standard.
